This lecture, which sets out Lord Alderdice’s thinking about one of the most topical and troubling issues of our time, was delivered in London in November 2025. It generated such interest that the Movement for the Abolition of War – which had organized the lecture – and Spokesman Books – the imprint of the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation Ltd – later decided to publish it as a booklet which is now available from various outlets including Amazon and ARTIS (Europe) Ltd.
